Since moving to Ireland in 1980 he has recorded and toured extensively with Dolores Keane and many other musicians in the Irish scene, most notably Kevin Burke, Arty McGlynn, Nolaig Casey and De Dannan. In 1989 his song Lion in a Cage, about Nelson Mandela, topped the Irish charts for four weeks.
